The earphone jack is great and the hardest thing to find on radios now. I love this radio as it does everything I wanted and then some. The best part is being able to set it to turn off automatically after a set time as I like listening while I'm going to sleep. I get good reception even with the antenna down. I alway seem to break the antennas on my portable radios. I also like being able to recharge the batteries right in the radio by plugging it in for the day - a great green feature. It has freed up a lot of space on my nightstand and the white color makes it almost invisible.KatG
Love the pre-sets available and scanning is a breeze. This radio is used primarily in the kitchen and works like a charm. Sound quality is very good for such a small unit. Wish the back light would remain on while the radio is in use though. Well built radio and would purchase another.
This is my husband's radio. He uses it outside by the patio and pool. The reception is excellent, and he would highly recommend it to others.

Crystal clear. ~BOTTOM LINE~Pros:1- All the top FM stations in my area come in lound and clear.
(the Sanyo eneloop rechargables are excellent) Be careful to unplug the adapter when the red light indicates a full charge or else the circuts overheat and the batteries feel hot to the touch. No static at all after having locked on an FM station.2- The single speaker is good enough.
Nice and rich tone.3- Digital tuner lights up when you push any button so you can see the station and the time clearly.4- If you load it with rechargable batteries, this radio will recharge them. Thought I fried it but after taking the batteries out and allowing it to cool off for 30 minutes it was working fine again.5- Functions as a alarm clock.6- AM is also very good.
